We are looking for someone to relocate from South Texas to Birmingham, AL to be the Supervisor for our Birmingham packaging/rail unloading and warehouse operation.
This position will report to the Birmingham Operations Manager.
Job Description Starr Rail LLC is looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our team.
The Supervisor will be responsible for the shift management of the Birmingham Packaging and Rail Terminal.
The Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the salt packaging line and its employees.
Responsibilities Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the salt packaging line, including safety, quality control, dispatcher relations, and railcar placement; Oversee railcar moving operations; Understand every component and maintenance requirement for equipment in the railcar discharge and salt packaging line operational area; Oversee the hiring process, interview scheduling, training, and employee development; Ensure that all employees are performing at or above standard; Ensure that all safety regulations are being followed at all times; Ensure that all safety guidelines are being followed at all times; Ensure that employees are being informed of upcoming schedules and deadlines; Confirm weekly payroll reports for management with accurate data; Assist in filling open shifts when needed.
(This will include but not limited to:
interviewing candidates, scheduling interviews, evaluating candidates' performance, scheduling open shifts); Perform other duties as assigned.

performing other duties as assigned by management including cleaning up areas around terminal, inventory of terminal supplies and equipment, etc.

Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a packaging related field; Previous
Experience:
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
