Harlingen, TX Harlingen, TX Full-time Full-time $45,760 a year $45,760 a year Hands of Healing's Child Placement Agency seeks a responsible Foster Home Developer that is a compassionate, care-driven professional who believes in facilitating wellness for clients and their families.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping families and children to develop healthy living situations.
The Foster Home Developer will be responsible for but not limited to:
Maintains confidentiality of all client and family information Recruits Foster Families Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws including Hands Of Healing's policies and procedures Work with families to help them understand how to create a more productive environment for each family member, especially the children placed in their homes Collaborate with other public resources to get the best results possible for each family Reports immediately any suspected incident of child abuse or neglect to the Intake Supervisor and the Child Abuse Hotline Completes and send all correspondence to Foster Parents to include but not limited to:
Reference letters, Background checks, Inspection letters, Corrective Action Plans, etc.
Maintains weekly contact with Foster Parents waiting to attend training Initiates and completes family/child assessments that address safety, risks, family strengths and needs, domestic violence issues and any other socioeconomic needs pertinent to sound service planning Maintains Foster Parent records and completes Foster Home Supervisory Reviews on a quarterly basis Initiates and completes all re-certification requirements for Foster Parents Responds within 24 hours to Foster Parent inquiries by sending out information packets to include information for upcoming training dates Other duties as assigned The Foster Home Developer must have or be able to:
Bachelor's Degree (Social Services or a related field) Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient with (in) MS Word, MS Excel and Windows-based operating systems Flexible and willing to work to meet all deadlines (sometimes beyond normal business hours) Proven time management and organizational skills Bilingual applicants are highly desired (Preferred) 1 year of Social Services Case Management (Non- Profit - Preferred) So if you have experience working in this field, get in touch with us about this position.
