is a stable industrial environment company that consists of 15 employees.
We are looking for qualified candidates who is seeking long term employment and will focus on the environment and the safety of others.
API is a manufacturer of an Asphalt-based Potting Compound.
This potting compound is used in various light ballasts/drivers in the lighting industry.
The Maintenance Tech will ensure compliance with manufacturing safety/environmental standards and promote a safe, incident-free work environment for all API employees.
Past experience is a plus, we offer full training for a qualified person.
Qualified candidates must be able to perform all duties listed below.
Position Responsibilities/Duties:
Coordinates assigned environmental/safety programs.
Conducts safety/environmental inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes.
Conducts thorough incident reviews, determines root causes and recommends appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Implements and distributes educational materials; conduct safety/environmental meetings using videos and training materials.
Administer employee training in areas such as safety/environmental laws and regulations, hazardous conditions, proper use of equipment, proper use of PPE.
Conduct new hire Safety Orientation Prepare, submit, file and maintain all essential safety/environmental paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
Provides information, signs, posters, barriers and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of governmental and industry safety regulations Ability to work independently Industrial Maintenance background Familiar with Safety guidelines Willing to train & assume responsibility as an environmental coordinator Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Proficient computer skills with basic office programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Bilingual - read and write.
Strong organizational, record keeping and follow-up skills.
Ability to access multi-level structures.
Work Conditions/Environment:
Work is normally performed in a standard office or similar environment.
Weather conditions Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling.
Subject to climbing ladders and performing roof or higher inspections.
