Visionworks is recruiting for a qualified, friendly, team oriented candidate to join our staff as an Eyewear Manufacturing Tech (Lab Tech).
The Lab Tech is responsible for selecting, cutting, edging, finishing, surfacing, fitting lenses to frames, and providing customers high quality eyewear delivered as promised.
They will also maintain Lab equipment in good working order through proper maintenance.
Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Routinely demonstrate hands on proficiency of all objectives in the Lab Certification Program as outlined in the SOP 9.
01, for level attained Ensure all jobs are clocked in upon receipt and clocked out after final lab inspection in accordance with Company standards to include jobs completed in about an hour as promised Control lab inventory through auditing tray management procedures, special orders, check-in of lenses, inter-store merchandise transfers, breakage, returns, and the monitoring of damaged and defective product Meet as promised service, 7 Point Quality Check, ANSI Standards and tolerance standards Perform SKU exchanges as required in accordance with Company policy Perform regular machine maintenance in accordance with maintenance checklist and report equipment malfunctions to the Manager on Duty Meet Company safety rules and standards to include following guidelines for hazardous material handling and waste disposal May cross train in the retail area Qualified Candidates will possess the following:
3 - 5 years of related experience High School Diploma or equivalent Machininst or machine operation, fabrication/production experience Preferred.
Must meet all Lab Certification requirements--on the job lab training provided Able to work a varying schedule to include:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
