DUTIES INCLUDE:
Administrative, management planning, and support for all psychology programs and services in all outpatient settings of VATVCBHCS. Responsible for all administrative functions within the Psychology section and regularly represents the section in project planning activities when so designated. Administrative responsibilities include fiscal, personnel, equipment, program, and supply management. Additionally, the incumbent serves as liaison and is responsible to the Chief of Psychology and top management on administrative matters concerning the section. Responsible for the management of data related to the programs within the Psychology section. Participate in establishing administrative policies and procedures, ensuring that written policies are within established federal regulations and VA written guidelines. Responsible for administrative duties associated with the Psychology Internship Training Program. This includes onboarding of Interns within each cohort, submission of annual reports, program documentation including ensuring Intern files are updated and complete, and assisting with administrative components of annual selection procedures. Develops short and long-range plans for achieving goals set within the strategic plan and makes necessary adjustments to improve delivery of patient care services in conjunction with the Chief of Psychology, Associate Chief of Staff for Mental Health, and Mental Health Administrative Officer. This often involves consultation with staff at all levels of the clinic and VATVCBHCS Promotion Potential:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
financial management, personnel management, organizational structuring and strategic planning; efficiently utilize Microsoft Excel, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint, and statistical software commonly used by providers to manage research data; technical skill in information technology management; system redesign concepts; and, adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of the product line's effectiveness and overall organizational productivity. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
